Te’o seemingly spoke with Tagovailoa’s father and shared the update with fans.
Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve by the Dolphins on Tuesday and will miss at least several weeks.
He suffered a concussion in the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on September 12.
This is not Tagovailoa’s first concussion, as he has now had three confirmed concussions as a member of the Dolphins.
Despite his history of head injuries, Tagovailoa has no intention of retiring from the NFL.
Before his concussion, Tagovailoa started both of the Dolphins’ first two games of the season.
He had a strong performance in the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars but struggled against the Bills before leaving with his concussion.
Te’o’s update suggests that Tagovailoa is in good spirits and eager to return to the field as soon as possible.
The Dolphins will prepare for their Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks without their starting quarterback, hoping to navigate the matchup and secure a win.
